The Ultimate 4km Autumn Guide to Türlersee near Zürich: A Magical Day Trip
The Autumn Gem of Zürich
Türlersee is a beautiful lake in the Canton of Zürich. It is especially breathtaking during Autumn, with different coloured leaves beautifying the area around the lake. We have been to Türlersee multiple times, and our love for it has not diminished at all.

Our Autumn Memories: 2018 vs 2025
Our history with this stunning spot goes back years. We first discovered its magic during a visit in 2018 when it was just Mehran and me. We fell so deeply in love with the scenery that we knew we had to make it a tradition.
In Autumn 2025, we returned to this exact spot, this time with our two kids in tow, to watch them experience the same autumn magic we fell for years ago. It truly remains a location we love to visit every single autumn.
When we visit, we park our car at the public parking space and do the round tour around the lake. If you are planning your own road trip here, or if you prefer to travel comfortably without a car using public transport options, getting to the paths is incredibly straightforward.
The round tour is around 4 kilometres and takes around an hour to complete. We like to take a slow pace and usually end up spending at least 2 hours at the lake. There are platforms that help you get closer to the water and the view from them is absolutely breathtaking.
It is also an ideal spot if you are traveling with children. There is a play area for the kids where our kids love getting rid of their energies while you take in the gorgeous views.
Final Remarks
Türlersee is a must visit for people who love autumn leaves. The views are inspiring all year round but they are nothing compared to what the lake offers during the Fall season.
