7 Reasons Dreamworld Bangkok is the Best Family Day Trip in 2026

Visit to the ‘Disneyworld’ of Bangkok

If you are looking for a magical escape for your children while staying in Thailand, a day trip to Dreamworld is a must. Often referred to as the “Disneyworld of Bangkok,” this theme park offers a perfect blend of high-speed thrills and whimsical fairytale landscapes. During our week-long stay in Bangkok in December 2025, we spent a full day here and it quickly became the highlight of our trip for the kids.

Planning Your Bangkok Trip

Before diving into the daily schedule, here are the essentials you need to book to ensure a smooth journey.

7 Highlights of Our Dreamworld Visit

1. Affordable Adventure

The entrance ticket for an adult was 600 THB, which provided access to a world of adventure. Compared to global theme park prices, this offers incredible value for a full day of family entertainment.

Pro tip: Secure your ticket below to beat the heat and start your adventure as quickly as possible.

2. Adrenaline-Pumping Coasters

The park is home to several high-energy roller coasters that kept the older kids and teenagers screaming with excitement. While those rides had significant waiting times, they are perfect for thrill-seekers looking for a rush.

3. Toddler-Friendly Rides

Since we were traveling with younger children, we focused on the gentler attractions. The park is very accommodating for smaller visitors with rides such as the Mono-rail, the classic Carousel, Kid-Cars, and the Mini-Train.

4. Relaxing Paddle Boats

For a change of pace, we took to the water. The Paddle Boats are a relaxing way to enjoy the park scenery and provide a nice break from the walking.

5. Magical Fairytales at Photopia

We spent a large portion of our afternoon at Photopia. This area is a dream for photography lovers and children alike. It features beautifully designed sets representing stories like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Hansel and Gretel.

6. Literary Legends

Beyond classic fairytales, Photopia also includes fun photo spots for stories like King Arthur and the Round Table, The Hobbit, and Gulliver’s Travels. It was like walking through a giant storybook.

7. The Seven Wonders Area

This standout feature showcases miniature versions of major landmarks from across the globe. It was heartwarming to see the kids excitedly pointing out the “wonders” they had already visited in their previous travels.

Final Verdict

The whole family had a great time at the park. Between the well-maintained visual attractions and the wide variety of rides, we would definitely recommend Dreamworld to any family visiting Bangkok.
