5 Best Reasons Walibi Holland Is The Most Thrilling Theme Park Adventure

Asma Experiences Her First Rollercoaster

In 2016, we visited Walibi Holland during my first trip to the Netherlands. At the time, a single entry ticket cost us 44.50 euros.

While Walibi features a variety of attractions, it is primarily famous as a rollercoaster park. Because of other commitments, we only had two hours to spend at the park, which meant we had to move quickly. Even in that short time, we discovered exactly why this park is so special. Here are the 5 best reasons why Walibi Holland makes for such an unforgettable adventure.

Getting Around and Staying in Netherlands

1. Ultimate Adrenaline Pumping Rollercoasters

We started our adventure with Speed of Sound. This was my first ever rollercoaster experience, and saying that I handled it like a champ would be a complete lie. I was absolutely petrified the moment the ride started.

The experience was incredibly fast, intense, and packed with sharp twists and turns. Looking back, it definitely was not the ideal attraction for a first-time rollercoaster rider. Even so, it gave me a massive rush of adrenaline, leaving my legs completely wobbly as I stepped out of the cart. I briefly considered trying another rollercoaster after that, but I felt too disoriented to enjoy another high-speed ride.

2. Gentle and Relaxing Family Rides

To pace ourselves after the intense coasters, we decided to head over to the calm atmosphere of Le Tour Des Jardins. This gentle car ride is a perfect choice for families traveling with little kids. It provides a wonderful, scenic break from the high-speed thrills found throughout the rest of the park.

3. Thrilling Water Attractions

Afterward, we made our way to the Crazy River. I absolutely love water rides, so this log flume was a thoroughly fun and thrilling experience for me. It is the perfect attraction to cool off and enjoy a good splash with the family.

4. Delicious Classic Dutch Treats

Following the splash, we took a quick break to grab some classic Dutch fries from one of the nearby food stalls. Sampling the local snacks is easily one of the best parts of the park experience, giving you the perfect energy boost between rides.

5. Immersive and Magical Experiences

We ended our short day at Merlin’s Magic Castle. As wizard and magic enthusiasts, we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The presentation was entirely in Dutch, so I could not understand the specific words being said, but the optical illusions and the overall ride experience made it completely worth it.

Final Remarks

As we left Walibi Holland, we genuinely regretted not having more time to spare. This is definitely a park that we will be returning to with the kids, as there are plenty of activities and attractions that little kids can enjoy as well.
