Stepping into the History of Rail Transport
We spent almost two hours exploring the entire area. It is an average-sized museum that allows you to walk around and appreciate a massive variety of locomotives spanning different eras. If you are a fan of trains and transport history, the sheer variety of the collection is bound to keep you engaged.
Testing Out the Interactive Train Rides
During our visit, we also tried out the interactive train rides. We found them to be somewhat interesting as they try to bring the history of rail travel to life. However, the experience had some downsides. I noticed that several parts of the museum and the ride environments were kept a little too dark.
Final Verdict: Is It Good for Young Travelers?
While we had an enjoyable time overall, the dark atmosphere and enclosed spaces left a strong impression. I could not help but feel that these specific areas would be a little too uncomfortable for little kids.
Because of this, the museum definitely is not recommended for young children or claustrophobic individuals. If you or your travel companions are sensitive to tight, dimly lit spaces, you might want to skip certain walkthrough exhibits.
