Getting There and Parking
We drove to Stein am Rhein directly from Zürich, which made for a very smooth and straightforward journey. Upon arrival, we parked our car at a public parking place close to the starting point of our walk.
The Circular Walk: Der Uferweg Stein am Rhein
The walk we chose for the day was named “Der Uferweg Stein am Rhein.” This is a beautiful circular walk that took us right along the scenic banks of the Rhine River. It is an ideal path for families, offering plenty of open space and gorgeous waterfront views.
In the middle of our walk, we found a perfect spot to sit down in the grass. It was wonderful to take a break, relax, and let our daughter crawl around safely to explore nature up close. We stopped at a cafe for some desserts as well.
Discovering the Old Town
Next, we explored the old town, which was extremely picturesque. The historic buildings and vibrant atmosphere felt like stepping into a fairy tale. After wandering through the streets, we crossed the Hemishofen bridge to complete our walking circuit.
Final Remarks
We loved everything about this outing. It was both budget-friendly and baby-friendly. The scenic beauty was totally worth visiting this gem.
