Planning Your Visit to the Chocowelt Museum
The entrance ticket price is 17 CHF per adult, which is incredibly reasonable for the value provided. We spent an hour at the chocolate factory exploring the exhibits and interactive stations. The entire experience took us through a lot of interesting information, starting with the deep history of cocoa beans, where they come from, and how they are sustainably sourced. From there, you get a clear look at how the beans are processed, refined, and made into premium chocolate bars.
Unlimited Tastings and Custom Chocolate Bars
On top of the historical and technical information, the highlight for many visitors is the interactive tasting stations. We got lots of free chocolate tasting throughout the exhibition, and we absolutely took full advantage of every single one. Sampling the rich, smooth varieties is worth the admission price alone.
At the end of the experience, we had the wonderful opportunity to pay some extra money to design and make our own chocolate bars. Mehran and I both designed our custom bars with our favorite toppings, watching the chocolatiers seal them. We eventually went home with our stomachs completely full of chocolate and with another custom chocolate bar safely in our hand.
Final Remarks
This is a location that is deeply enjoyable for both kids and adults. However, do prepare yourselves for an evening of dealing with sugar rushed kids if you bring them along.
