2 Memorable Visits Later: Why Sealife Konstanz is Still the Perfect Family Trip

Half-day Trip to the Aquarium

If you are looking for an affordable and non-strenuous activity to do with little kids, Sealife Konstanz is definitely the place to visit. Mehran and I have already explored this attraction twice in the last 10 years. We first visited alone in 2017 and then returned with our two kids in 2024 to see it through their eyes.

When we bought the tickets, a small log booklet was handed over to our 3 year old daughter, which turned out to be a highlight of her day. There were different entries in the log book that she could get stamped at various checkpoints throughout the aquarium.

She absolutely loved the experience of stamping the different fish in the log book. At the end of the experience, we submitted the book and our daughter received a gold medal. She was so happy with her prize that she wore it proudly for the next 2 days.

Sealife Konstanz houses a fascinating variety of creatures, including penguins, turtles, starfish, jellyfish, seahorses, lobsters, rays, sharks, and many other species of fish. While some parts of the exhibit were a bit too dark for our kids, both of them enjoyed the overall atmosphere. Our daughter was especially fond of the Antarctic Adventure and the shipwreck sections.

After spending 2 hours exploring and finally collecting our medal, we had some lunch at the Sealife restaurant before heading back home. Everything about the day was easy and manageable.
