Our first activity was a guided tour to Medina Azahara. We booked a bus tour for 30 Euros, and the experience was seamless. The tour company was extremely professional, and the bus arrived at the stop exactly on time. The journey to the site took close to 40 minutes.

Medina Azahara is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by an Umayyad Caliph to serve as the capital of the Government of Cordoba. The tour took us on an archaeological journey through ancient palaces, gardens, public buildings, roads, and sophisticated water systems. The on-site museum displayed fascinating artifacts collected by archaeologists from the ruins. As history enthusiasts, we had a lot of fun exploring. We spent nearly 3 hours here before the tour bus returned us to the city center. We grabbed some lunch on the go before walking to our next destination.
2. Cordoba Mezquita
The Cordoba Mezquita is another UNESCO World Heritage Site and a true architectural marvel. It was originally built as a mosque by a Muslim Caliph and features incredibly rich Islamic architecture. During the Christian Conquest, it was converted into a cathedral. Today, it exists as a Mezquita-Cathedral. The entry ticket and audio guide cost 27 Euros. We spent 40 minutes immersed in the stunning atmosphere of the site.

Calleja de las Flores is one of the most popular and beautiful streets in Cordoba. If you want to enjoy scenic beauty and take awesome pictures, this is the place to visit. Although it is often crowded with tourists, the hype is totally worth it for the views of the tower framed by flower-lined walls.
6. Templo Romano
As we headed toward the bus station to catch our ride to Granada, we stumbled upon the Templo Romano. Although it was already closed, the massive pillars were absolutely stunning from the outside. We were glad we did not miss this beautiful testament to Roman history. After admiring the architecture for a few moments, we rushed to our bus stop to continue our journey.
