Mevlana Mosque (Rotterdam)
Mevlana Mosque is a Turkish mosque located in Rotterdam, and it offered plenty of space for both men and women. The facility includes an entertainment area, lecture halls, and much more. It was truly stunning, and the wudhu area was very clean and decent as well.
Essalam Mosque (Rotterdam)
The second mosque we explored in Rotterdam was Essalam Mosque. This was another beautiful mosque with plenty of space. It features multiple floors along with a dedicated area for women’s prayers. The wudhu area was extremely decent, and the overall atmosphere of the masjid was very welcoming to us.
Ulu Mosque (Utrecht)
We visit Utrecht regularly and always drive past this beautiful mosque. It is named Ulu Mosque, and it features a stunning architecture that truly stands out with its unique presence. It has striking minarets, and although we have not had the opportunity to go inside yet, we always love admiring it from the outside.
Final Remarks
The Netherlands has between 400 and 500 mosques. The country is extremely welcoming to Muslims, and we always find that it is very respectful of our faith. We recommend anyone hesitant about visiting the Netherlands to give it a shot and see for themselves how friendly it is toward Muslims.
