Europa-Park Rust

7 Jaw-Dropping Thrills: Why Europa-Park Rust is the Ultimate Theme Park Adventure

A Day Dedicated to Rollercoasters and Rides

In 2019, we finally satisfied our craving for adrenaline by visiting Europa-Park in Rust, Germany. As theme park enthusiasts, we knew we could not ignore this world-class destination any longer. To make the most of our trip, we booked a hotel nearby and arrived in Rust around 9 pm. After a restful night, we were positioned at the gates the next morning before the park even opened. At the time, an entrance ticket cost 52 Euros, which granted us a full day of exploration in this massive wonderland.

Exploring the 7 Best Highlights of Our Trip

Pro-tip: To make the most out of your day instead of waiting in long queues, secure your ticket below

While the park is divided into many themed lands, these were the seven most impactful experiences and rides that defined our visit.

1. The High-Speed Rush of Iceland

The highlight of the Iceland area was definitely the Blue Fire Megacoaster. This ride had us screaming our heads off from start to finish. It is a must for anyone who loves high speeds and inversions.

2. The Futuristic Thrills of France

France is a haven for thrill-seekers. We braved the Eurosat Coastiality and the Eurosat-Can Can Coaster. While the Silver Star coaster has a massive drop that looks incredible, my fear of heights kept me on the ground for that one.

3. Aquatic Adventure in Greece

In Greece, we fell in love with the Water Roller Coaster Poseidon. It perfectly blends the excitement of a coaster with the splash of a water ride. We also enjoyed the Pegasus coaster in this beautifully themed area.

4. Nostalgia in the Netherlands

The highlight here was Koffiekopjes, the classic rotating coffee cups. I have loved these types of rides since my childhood, and the Dutch version provided the perfect amount of dizzying fun.

5. The Spinning G-Force of Russia

The Euro-Mir coaster in the Russian sector gave us a massive adrenaline rush. The cars actually rotate on the track while they are moving, making for a unique and unpredictable experience.

6. Swiss Precision and the Matterhorn-Blitz

Naturally, we went through all the attractions in Switzerland. The Matterhorn-Blitz was our absolute favorite there. Our love for the real Matterhorn mountain definitely made this coaster feel extra special.

7. A Nostalgic Breather in Grimm’s Fairytale Forest

When we needed a break from the high-intensity coasters, this area was a perfect choice. It was a wonderful way to enjoy the nostalgia of childhood storybooks and catch our breath before the next big ride.

Final Thoughts

We managed to cover a significant portion of the park, but because it is so enormous, it is impossible to experience every single ride in just one day. We enjoyed our visit to the fullest and definitely plan to bring our children here in the future. If you are a thrill-seeking adult or a family with kids, Europa-Park is a must-visit destination.
